TIL THAT NIGHT...
I don't really have a poem to write,
Not in so many words or rhyme,
But in waiting, I wait,
For such a long time.
There was a time,
When I wasn't so sure,
That my true love existed,
So wonderous and pure.
I wandered in grief,
And mock happiness,
What passed for a life,
I mostly would miss.
Through pain and despair,
God tested my will,
A depression overcame me,
And would be with me still...
But I must have proved true,
Worthy of light,
Because God finally blessed me,
That cold December night.
Blind as I was,
And passing the time,
In boredome I ventured,
And dropped in my dime.
The call had been placed,
And chat rooms abound,
A Sweet Siren2n,
Waiting to be found.
We talked and we laughed,
And God rode shotgun,
On our vehicle of wires,
We both had much fun.
Our laughter and humor,
thought our own special brand,
What a fine wonder then,
When you took my hand.
You laughed at Shirely,
And her unwitting aplomb,
I thought I was annoying you,
My joke was a bomb.
But wonders won't cease,
With God at our side,
You picked up the phone,
And started the ride.
I'd lost faith and hope,
Often so Sad,
I Thought that my life,
Would be eternally bad.
But in one swift move,
Minutes in length,
You broke my prison walls,
And you gave me your strength.
Your laughter was wonderous,
Your voice was so pure,
Your kindness and humor,
You made me feel secure.
I never thought it could happen,
Hurt and in Fright,
That I! could find TRUE Love,
Til That Night...
This poem, as so many before it, is inspired by an angel sent
to me by God. Hearing my silent please for love and happiness,
he hand picked his sweetest angel and gave her physical
form and sent her to me. Thank you God. And Thank You,
Connie, my love, for agreeing to come to this place, leaving
heaven, to bring me a taste of it. I will always be grateful
and always wish to make sure your time here with me brings
you the fullfillment that you have already given me.
